1) according to most experts, you can connect one Y cable to every 4 pins male molex |
|
connector directly extended from your power supply. |
|
|

2) If the power cable has two 4 pins male molex connectors, |
|
you can connect a Y cable to one of them only. |
|
|
|
3) You cannot daisy-chain Y cables. If you diasy chain Y cables, your power supply may not |
|
provide enough power to your drives. You may experience power drop with your drives |
|
or your raid configuration may be degraded randomly. |
|
|
|
The length from the male connector to the first female connector is 3 and 1/4 inches. |

The length between two female connectors is 1 and 3/4 inches. | |
